Job Title: Graduate Civil Engineer

We are seeking a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our growing civils team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering highways and infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients and sectors.

About the Role

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be involved in the design and development of infrastructure projects from initial concept to detailed design and construction stages. You will work closely with colleagues within the local office and those in other parts of the Group to deliver projects that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage infrastructure projects using the latest design software.
  • Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress.
Requirements

We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated, and driven Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. You should have a demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects, as well as a good understanding of design tools within a BIM environment.

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
  • Problem solver able to offer solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage workload.
  • A good knowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other JMS offices.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
