Domestic Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our team at University Hospital Monklands. As a key member of our Domestic Services department, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic service to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards.
- Work alongside and support new staff in the working environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Undertake on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
- Participate in risk assessing individual tasks and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
- Complete the NHSS Domestic Services Workbook and maintain accurate records.
- Develop effective written and verbal communication skills, working with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Carry out assigned tasks efficiently and effectively in a busy environment, utilizing basic information technology skills.
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave, increasing with length of service.
- A minimum of 8 days of public holidays.

This is a part-time post, with a working pattern of 07.30am-15.00pm, Saturday and Sunday. The role will be based in the Domestic Services department within University Hospital Monklands.
