- Deliver tailored care: Work closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure smooth operation and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Support daily activities: Assist with personal care, cooking, and managing pocket money, ensuring the needs of children and young people are met.
- Enhance education and learning: Support children's education and learning activities, promoting their cognitive and social development.
- Maintain accurate records: Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Lead on health and safety: Ensure a safe environment for all, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Be available for on-call duties: Provide support and guidance as needed, ensuring the needs of children and young people are met.
- Administer medication: Safely administer medication as required, following established protocols and procedures.
Team Responsibilities:
- Guide and support team members: Foster a positive and accountable culture, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive work setting: Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment, free from harm and discrimination.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Proven experience in a residential care setting, particularly working with children or young people. Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role is preferred.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent is essential.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Compliance: Understanding of safeguarding practices, regulatory frameworks, and Health and Safety requirements.
