Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Lotus Recruitment. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure smooth operation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as a key worker, delivering tailored care based on individual needs and preferences.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, cooking, and managing pocket money, while promoting independence and self-reliance.
  • Support children's education and learning activities, fostering a love of learning and academic achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Lead on health and safety, ensuring a safe environment for all, and promoting a culture of risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Be available for on-call duties as needed, providing 24/7 support and care.
  • Administer medication as required, in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting open communication and a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience: Proven experience in a residential care setting, particularly working with children or young people, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent is essential, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and best practices in residential care.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively, and promote a culture of positive relationships and partnerships.
  • Compliance: Understanding of safeguarding practices, regulatory frameworks, and Health and Safety requirements, with a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of care and safety.
