Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people.
  • Work closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure smooth operation and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as a key worker, delivering tailored care based on individual needs.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, cooking, and managing pocket money.
  • Support children's education and learning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Lead on health and safety, ensuring a safe environment for all.
  • Be available for on-call duties as needed.
  • Administer medication as required.
Team Responsibilities:
  • Guide and support team members, fostering a positive and accountable culture.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive work setting.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a residential care setting, particularly working with children or young people. Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role is preferred.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent is essential.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Compliance: Understanding of safeguarding practices, regulatory frameworks, and Health and Safety requirements.
