Are you prepared to elevate your career in project management? We are in search of a seasoned Senior Project Manager, ideally with experience in the nuclear sector, to engage in a variety of innovative projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to improve project management methodologies across our engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication divisions.
  • Direct and nurture the Project Services Team, ensuring staff development and proficiency.
  • Manage a range of design, manufacturing, and fabrication initiatives within the Nuclear, Defence, and Industrial sectors, maintaining compliance with budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks.
  • Champion safety protocols, guaranteeing that projects are carried out without risk to personnel or the environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to better understand their requirements and enhance satisfaction.
  • Efficiently manage relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Take full responsibility for project delivery and financial outcomes for managed projects (approximately £5-£10 million annually) in line with industry standards.
  • Provide leadership and support to Project Managers, Planners, and Support Staff throughout project execution.
  • Deliver a consistent and high-quality project management service to clients.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations for projects.
  • Establish and implement project change control protocols.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and conflicts during delivery.
  • Perform any additional duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:

  • Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
  • Proven background in Project Management with experience overseeing multi-disciplinary projects through all stages.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project planning, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies across various teams.
  • Demonstrated success in managing related projects.
  • Solid market and commercial awareness.
  • Experience leading teams in a project setting, including support and development of staff and apprentices.
  • Understanding of financial and commercial processes.
  • Awareness of health, safety, and environmental considerations in engineering.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance standards and practices.
  • IOSH Leading Safely certification is desirable.
  • Membership in a relevant Professional Institute is a plus.
