Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at our Workington Mill. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and leading projects from pre-study to implementation. Your technical skills will be essential in project teams, and you will be responsible for delivering projects on budget, on time, and functioning in line with specification.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading and managing investment projects from pre-study to implementation.
- Participating in investment projects led by others, from pre-study to implementation.
- Supporting and contributing technical skills (E/I or Automation discipline) in project teams.
- Responsibility for delivering projects on budget, on time, and functioning in line with specification.
- Managing and leading contractors/consultants and coordinating resources on ongoing joint projects.
- Producing clear and accurate specifications including agreed Company engineering standards for the procurement and installation of equipment, in contractual form where necessary.
- Procurement and integration of adequate spare parts inventory and documentation to support new equipment introduced into the mill.
- Providing information to enable training for operators, supervisors, technicians, and craft personnel.
- Appropriate training in Health & Safety (IOSH Managing Safely).
- Ideally, some experience in the paper and board industry or another heavy engineering/process industry.
