Project Manager

At National Nuclear Laboratory, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering our purpose by managing projects that deliver nuclear science to benefit society.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage teams, identifying and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups.
- Consolidate and document project components, including scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, and quality requirements.
- Support the preparation, approval, and updating of business cases that justify project initiation and continuation.
- Prepare and maintain project requirements, determining the best means of satisfying requirements within project objectives and constraints.
- Secure resources needed for projects from internal and/or external providers, developing and implementing resource allocation plans.
- Develop and agree project budgets, controlling forecast and actual costs.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.
- Identify and monitor project risks, planning and implementing responses, and responding to other issues affecting projects.
- Maintain and apply quality management processes for project activities and outputs.
- Implement protocols to change project scope and update configuration documents as required.
Essential Criteria:
- APM PMQ certification.
- APM Level 1 and 2 Risk Management certification.
- Ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- CDM awareness.
