The ideal candidate should exhibit exceptional communication abilities, a collaborative spirit within a multidisciplinary team, and a dedication to ongoing professional growth. Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will spearhead the intricate evaluation and rehabilitation of children and adolescents, ensuring precise diagnoses and effective treatment strategies. A primary responsibility will include conducting Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) assessments, guaranteeing accurate evaluation and interpretation of findings to inform patient management. As our service strives for quality accreditation, the post holder will assume a leadership role in quality assurance, collaborating with fellow quality leads to uphold and enhance service excellence.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role within the Senior Audiology Team, contributing to strategic initiatives and service enhancement. They will serve as a deputy to the Head of Department alongside other senior audiologists, providing guidance and support as necessary. The post holder will also oversee and mentor staff and students, including STP trainees, ensuring they receive the necessary support and direction to advance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Master’s degree in Audiology/Healthcare Science or equivalent, along with substantial relevant experience
  • Registration as a Clinical Scientist in Audiology with the HCPC or as a Clinical Physiologist with the AHCS

Desirable

  • Membership in professional organizations such as BAA and/or BSA

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience in pediatric audiology with a complex patient caseload
  • Recent validation of clinical competencies in relevant areas
