We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Littlechart, a leading surface technology company. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our coatings.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for metallurgically examining coatings on customer components to identify the cause of failure or to verify that new coating techniques meet our requirements.

You will also be responsible for preparing laboratory reports outlining the details of the examination and any conclusions reached.

Additionally, you will ensure that all inspection documentation is complete and accurate, and that all details have been properly recorded on outgoing certification.

You will issue the final certification of conformance prior to the dispatch of components, and raise non-conformance reports as necessary.

You will also be responsible for preparing and evaluating various hardness samples, microstructure, and bond testing.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a laboratory within manufacturing, coating, or aerospace industries, and be educated to A level or equivalent (preferable science).

You must be analytical and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels.

You will also need to possess the demonstrable ability to deliver your responsibilities in line with safety, quality, and productivity targets.
