Job Title: Driver/Porter

Department: Portering Services Department

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver/Porter to join our Portering Services Department at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and efficient transportation service for our patients, as well as assisting with portering duties across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive patients safely to various destinations, including appointments and outings
  • Assist with portering duties, including moving equipment and supplies
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Portering and Transport Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the department
  • Participate in mandatory training and adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Full and clean driving license with D1
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and use initiative
  • Reliable and punctual with a good timekeeping record
