About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Work Planner and Scheduler to join our team at Manchester Airport. As a key member of our engineering management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal asset availability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a single point of contact for internal and external customers, taking requests for repair work and recording details on corporate systems.
  • Dispatch planned and reactive work orders using Manchester Airport resources and 3rd party contractors.
  • Provide feedback to customers on works carried out, including current status and expected completion dates.
  • Monitor asset information systems, identifying faults and instigating corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with internal and external enquiry calls.
  • React to lift alarms, ensuring passenger safety and escalating faults to relevant departments.
  • Provide information as required using corporate systems for insurance claims and aircraft delays.
  • Ensure active planned works are short-term planned and scheduled to deliver operational availability targets at optimum cost.

Requirements

  • Experience in scheduling, prioritizing, and organizing to ensure results are successfully delivered.
  • Ability to manage self and work in partnership with multiple users to improve engineering standards and delivery.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation, focusing on achieving results and a standard of excellence.
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet development, compilation, and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of the airport and experience using Maximo.
  • Call centre or customer service experience.
