**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Work Planner to join our team at Metroline Ltd. As a key member of our Service Delivery team, you will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing efficient and effective timetables and schedules that meet the requirements of our franchise and service delivery needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, review, and develop timetables and schedules that meet service delivery requirements, taking into account safety, reliability, acceptability, and cost.
- Liaise and negotiate with Depot Management Teams and Depot Trades Union concerning the implementation of timetables and schedules.
- Work with the Service Delivery Team and Depot Management Team to introduce temporary schedules to minimize delays through long-term disruption such as road works.
- Provide information/data regarding schedules as required, including reporting on service change impacts to internal and external partners.
- Work with the Service Delivery team and Depot management to improve the service provided to passengers through improved reliability and maximizing bonuses through the bonus regime.
Requirements:
- Experience of using computer-based scheduling software.
- Understanding of financial and costing procedures.
- Knowledge of the Domestic Driving Hours Regulations.
- Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels.
- Analytical skills – Ability to collate and interpret statistical data and using the insight gained to guide decision-making and improvements, with excellent attention to detail.
- Colleague Development - Must be a team player and willing to develop others to increase team and individual performance.
- Professional Integrity - Good awareness of company policies & procedures and employment legislation and acts with discretion when managing confidential matters.
