About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our international sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with high-net-worth individuals and global investors in the whisky cask investment market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to generate leads and partnership opportunities in the whisky cask investment market.
  • Manage prospect lists using databases and digital tools to identify and target potential business partners.
  • Engage with potential partners through outreach, digital media channels, and networking to generate interest.
  • Work through gatekeepers and middle management to reach decision-makers.
  • Set appointments for the Managing Director to close opportunities and convert leads into sales.
  • Manage your lead generation activities and take ownership of meeting KPIs and metrics.
  • Provide regular updates and adjust strategies to achieve results.
  • Represent the company at industry events, with the possibility of periodic international travel.
Requirements
  • Experience in business development, lead generation, or sales, ideally within professional services or luxury asset markets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage decision-makers over the phone, via email, and across digital platforms.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and resilient, with a proven ability to manage in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Proactive mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with digital lead generation tools and platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Flexibility to work from home and occasionally travel internationally.
  • A passion for the whisky industry or luxury assets is a plus but optional.

  • A competitive, negotiable salary, with on-target earning in the region of £55k, uncapped.
