About the Role

Safran Helicopter Engines is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Purchasing & Procurement department, you will play a critical role in supporting and managing the performance and improvement of our Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance level of a panel of suppliers, including handling a portfolio of suppliers on a day-to-day basis, project performance, and supply chain risks.
  • Coordinate and attend supplier visits, assess supply chain and supplier capability and capacity to meet current and future delivery requirements.
  • Identify, advance, and mitigate potential Supply Chain Risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans.
  • Facilitate monthly supplier reviews, prepare and plan for the monthly supplier performance review, and establish action plans with suppliers.
  • Ensure the supplier's ability to carry out production programs and industrialization, formalize risk analysis, and manage the development of industrial maturity of the supplier panel.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Supply Chain/Production, with a focus on customer/supplier relationships.
  • Lean 6 Sigma and MRPII knowledge, with proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP systems (SAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to improve supplier performance using appropriate tools and lean methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate and challenge effectively, with a collaborative and positive approach.
