About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll for our UK&I workforce, ensuring accurate and timely payments for over 3,600 employees. You will lead a team of three, comprising a Team Leader and two Payroll Administrators, guiding them in delivering exceptional payroll services.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly payroll process, including all reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Serve as a key advisor to business stakeholders on all payroll-related matters, providing expert guidance on PAYE, NIC, statutory benefits, and employment law.
  • Analyze data from various sources to generate insightful reports for key stakeholders, leveraging your expertise in Excel.
  • Implement robust controls to prevent inaccuracies within the payroll system and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide process-related information and resolve any audit issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency through the utilization of Oracle, OBIEE, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Support the Head of Payroll UK&I in large-scale projects and procedural changes.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a payroll team within a similar-sized organization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory legislation relating to PAYE, National Insurance, and Statutory Payments.
  • Familiarity with Appendix 5 and 6 concerning UK&I and international payroll calculations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law as it pertains to payroll and diverse employer benefit policies.
