Skilled Fabricator / Welder Position
The Selection Partnership Ltd is a reputable manufacturing firm specializing in the production of metal fabricated and pressed components. With a strong market presence and a commitment to quality, we are seeking to enhance our workforce.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, typically ranging from 1mm to 20mm in thickness.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings accurately.
- Engage in jig making and other fabrication tasks.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during the fabrication process.
- Execute dressing and finishing of products to meet high standards.
- Mark and identify materials appropriately.
- Ensure that all finished products meet specified requirements.
- Conduct one-off prototype projects as well as medium batch production runs.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and work instructions diligently.
- Demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and machinery.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exhibit punctuality and reliability in all work-related tasks.
- Be prepared to undertake additional duties as required, including potential temporary assignments in other areas of the workshop.
Required Experience: -
- Proven experience in fabrication.
- Competence in MIG Welding.
- Competence in TIG Welding.
- Ability to weld Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum to a high standard.
- Experience in dressing welds and graining Stainless Steel by hand is desirable but not essential.
This position offers a 39-hour work week, operating Monday to Thursday, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 5:15 PM, including a one-hour lunch break.
