About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at The Selection Partnership Ltd. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication and welding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Metal Fabrication: You will be responsible for fabricating metal components using various techniques, including MIG and TIG welding.
  • Welding: You will be required to weld metal components to high-quality standards, using a variety of welding techniques.
  • Jig Making: You will be responsible for creating jigs and fixtures to aid in the fabrication and welding process.
  • Problem Solving: You will be required to identify and solve problems related to metal fabrication and welding.
  • Dressing and Finishing: You will be responsible for dressing and finishing metal components to high-quality standards.
  • Material Identification: You will be required to identify and mark materials accurately.
  • Quality Control: You will be responsible for ensuring that finished products meet specifications.
  • Prototype Work: You will be required to perform one-off prototype work as well as medium batch production.
  • Health and Safety: You will be responsible for adhering to Health and Safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Hand Tools and Machinery: You will be required to use hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: You will be required to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: You will be responsible for being punctual and reliable.
Requirements:
  • Fabrication Experience: You will have experience in metal fabrication, including MIG and TIG welding.
  • Welding Skills: You will have the ability to weld metal components to high-quality standards.
  • Material Knowledge: You will have knowledge of working with and welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Graining Experience: You will have experience in graining stainless steel by hand (desirable but not essential).
