London, Greater London, United Kingdom Cabinet Office Full time

Position Overview

The Cabinet Office is on the lookout for a dedicated Executive Officer to enhance its ambitious agenda aimed at integrating evidence into UK Government policies and programs, ultimately improving public outcomes.

As part of the Cabinet Office Delivery Group, which encompasses the Mission Delivery Unit and the Government Strategic Management Office, our team operates from a central London location while supporting a hybrid work model with a minimum expectation of 60% office attendance.

Role Responsibilities

This position is within a collaborative Cabinet Office-HM Treasury unit, reporting to both Cabinet Office and HM Treasury leadership. Established in 2021, our mission is to embed robust evidence regarding policy effectiveness into governmental decision-making.

We engage with all central government departments, offering specialized guidance on their evaluation strategies and methodologies. Additionally, we assist HM Treasury in reviewing and scrutinizing the evidence linked to departmental funding proposals.

Our team is committed to funding impactful and innovative research, both within the government and beyond, through various funding initiatives. We collaborate closely with partners and lead programs aimed at enhancing the transparency of research outputs and equipping civil servants with evaluation skills.

Joining our team places you at the heart of government, where you will significantly contribute to making policies and programs more evidence-driven. We encourage you to explore our initiatives for more insights into our work.

Regular communication with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external, will be essential. You will be proactive and work independently, while receiving guidance and support from your line manager and fellow colleagues.
