Financial Solutions Architect - Trust In SODA

Compensation: Up to £85.8k + £6k Vehicle Allowance

A prominent retail banking organization is seeking a Financial Solutions Architect to enhance their Architecture Team. This role offers significant exposure across various business units, collaborating closely with other architecture teams (Enterprise, Cloud, Technical, Data & Security Architecture) and engaging with both Business and IT professionals on a global scale.

The team operates as an Architecture Community across multiple domains, sharing reusable frameworks and solutions while developing new ones to maintain the company's competitive edge. If you are enthusiastic about designing practical and effective architectures that align with IT principles and standards, this opportunity is tailored for you.

Your Impact:

  • Utilizing robust domain and Decision Driven Design expertise, employing frameworks such as BIAN, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and API & microservice architecture solutions.
  • Taking ownership of the complete Solution Architecture, collaborating with various architecture disciplines and aligning with the Domain Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
  • Documenting intricate As-Is / Transition / Target Architectures in accordance with established roadmaps.
  • Establishing and maintaining Strategy/Roadmaps, ensuring alignment among diverse stakeholders across different technologies and business sectors.
  • Proficiency in Digital/API/Micro-Services/Big Data/AWS/Azure/Cloud Architecture and relevant software tools.
  • Experience in transitioning from legacy systems to modern technologies.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in IT Systems Design and Solutions Architecture with a strong focus on the financial sector, particularly in Financial Crime (Detection, Monitoring, KYC/CRA, Sanctions Screening).
  • Demonstrated ability to create architectures that adhere to IT principles and standards, following appropriate governance protocols.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the capacity to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience in diplomatically engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and foster clarity and consensus.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills amidst competing demands.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong sense of initiative, with the ability to learn swiftly and perform under pressure.
  • Capability to manage risks within a highly regulated environment.

This is a permanent position with a flexible working arrangement, requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office each week.
