Join Our Team as a Head of Quality of Biologicals

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Authorisations Group as a Head of Quality of Biologicals. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the assessment of quality requirements for marketing authorisations of biological/immunological veterinary medicinal products. You will also be responsible for managing a team of assessors, developing and training them in quality aspects of biological VMPs, and providing scientific and regulatory advice to applicants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the assessment of quality requirements for marketing authorisations of biological/immunological VMPs
  • Manage a team of assessors and develop their skills in quality aspects of biological VMPs
  • Provide scientific and regulatory advice to applicants and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement national and international regulatory policies and guidelines for VMPs
  • Lead on VMD's global cooperation initiatives in regulatory affairs and work-sharing across regulatory jurisdictions
