We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team at The Botanical Rooms, a luxurious restaurant within The Newt in Somerset. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional pastries and desserts that showcase the best of high-end, contemporary British cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Head Chef to develop and execute innovative pastry and dessert menus, utilizing the estate's fresh ingredients and showcasing our commitment to using only the finest produce.
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs in the creation of exquisite pastries and desserts, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and high standards of food knowledge.
  • Effectively communicate with the wider kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of orders and maintain a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, contributing to the development of a cohesive and motivated culinary team.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and maintaining quality control of pastry ingredients, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar senior pastry role, preferably within a high-end restaurant or luxury establishment.
