About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team at The Botanical Rooms. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for managing and developing the pastry section, creating delicious and creative desserts, and working closely with our Head Chef to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the pastry section, utilizing fresh ingredients from the estate and participating in menu development
  • Execute and oversee the creation of pastries and desserts with exceptional attention to detail
  • Effectively communicate with the wider team and ensure orders are executed in a timely and high-quality fashion
  • Foster a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and maintaining quality control of pastry ingredients
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, contributing to the development of a cohesive culinary team

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar senior pastry role, preferably within a high-end restaurant or luxury establishment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pastry and dessert techniques, including sugar and chocolate
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and high standards of food knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring both taste and presentation are perfectly executed
  • Passion for food and a strong commitment to using fresh ingredients
  • Leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a kitchen team
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining your professionalism and team cohesion
