We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Information Request Officer at Middlesbrough Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, managing, and responding to requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in a timely and accurate manner.
This role requires a working knowledge of FOI legislation, including exemptions and exceptions under the Act.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage FOIA requests in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
- Respond to requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with FOI legislation.
- Act as a point of contact for a variety of requests, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Collaborate with the existing team to ensure seamless delivery of FOIA services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FOI legislation and experience in processing requests. Experience of exemptions and exceptions under the Act is advantageous but not essential.
A working knowledge of Council policies and procedures is also essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
