Your Role

The Leaf Quality Specialist will be responsible for gathering harvest quality data from our state-of-the-art vertical farm (baby leaf production) on our main site. As quality is fundamental in everything we do, you will be working closely with all the production departments: the agronomy team, operation team, and technical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting leaf samples post-harvest keeping full traceability for each sample.
  • Accurately measuring, counting, and recording any defects.
  • Advising the harvest team on cutting height to optimize yields and quality.
  • Assessing every batch and segregating them in line with the QAs.
  • Providing feedback to the agronomy team and technical team on any relevant observations.
  • Assisting other teams (agronomy, technical, or operations) as required.

Health and Safety and Food Safety

  • Meet all personal and role responsibilities as required under the company health and safety at work policy and HACCP.
  • Work in a safe manner to eliminate personal risk and risk to others.
  • Work as a role model when conducting your duties.
  • Support and promote an active Food and Safety Culture.
  • Address or report any hazard observed immediately, health or food related.
  • Ensure correct PPE is always worn by the team.
  • Maintain personal hygiene to a high standard.
  • Immediately investigate and report any workplace incidents.
