Position Title:

Senior Commissioning Engineer – Electrical (Propulsion) This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine tasks with minimal oversight while understanding safety implications in high-risk settings.
Collaborate with stakeholders such as Engineering, Royal Navy, MOD, and Build Operations to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Mentor and guide junior team members based on your expertise.
Responsible for the research, authorship, and review of design and testing documentation.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of work activities as per policy and legal requirements.
Represent the organization during Factory Acceptance Tests, offsite testing, and contractor sea trials, with potential for international travel.
Ensure assigned tasks are executed in accordance with company policies and regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:
Proficient knowledge of AC and DC electrical generation and power distribution systems.
Understanding of the commissioning role and its impact on broader business operations and UK defense initiatives.
Familiarity with safety protocols in high-risk environments.
Awareness of Nuclear Site/Authorization Conditions.
Experience with distribution systems, fire protection systems, and electrical testing.
Knowledge of instrumentation systems, including electrostatic discharge, low voltage control, data communications, PLCs, and fiber optics.

Join a dedicated team responsible for commissioning the first-class electrical power and distribution systems for the next generation of submarines.

The Dreadnought Programme aims to deliver four SSBNs to the Royal Navy, ensuring Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD).
