**Opportunity for a Remote Principal Ecologist**

GreenJobs Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Principal Ecologist to join our team as a mentor and advisor for our Ecology team. As a remote worker, you will be based in a home-office and work with a major environmental consultancy on a range of unique and interesting projects across the UK and Ireland.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Act as a mentor and advisor for the Ecology team, promoting positive internal professional growth and driving excellence in yourself and your team members.
  • Liaise and quote fees with clients, as well as advance the consultancy's standard practices and push new, innovative ecological techniques.
  • Collaborate with other divisions within the consultancy, including arboriculturists and landscape architects, as well as other team members from other divisions.
  • Benefit from the company's development scheme, including paid CIEEM membership.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience within an Ecology field, reaching Principal level or equivalent.
  • Proven skill in PEAs, BNG assessments, and Protected Species Surveys.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK legislation and planning policy framework.
  • Ability to come into the office 4-6 times annually.
  • Hold a Bat Survey License and have experience with successful implementation of EPSM licenses.
