Position Overview

Our Approved Premises (APs) play a crucial role in the rehabilitation of individuals reintegrating into society. This position offers valuable experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations, enhancing your understanding of the residential aspects within the Criminal Justice System. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and present nutritious meals for residents.
  • Follow recipes accurately and demonstrate proficiency in large-scale cooking.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Manage food waste effectively during preparation and cooking processes.
  • Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Oversee food inventory, ensuring proper stock management and portion control.
  • Conduct routine checks, including temperature monitoring during food production and storage.
  • Report any incidents, damages, or safety concerns to the Catering Supervisor promptly.
  • Ensure the Catering Department operates smoothly and securely during designated hours.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and effectiveness in the role.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on culinary experience.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow diverse recipes and willingness to explore various cuisines.
