Music Educator Position - Secondary School

Overview

We are representing a prestigious secondary school in the vibrant borough of Waltham Forest, seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Educator to become part of their dedicated faculty. This full-time, permanent role offers a remarkable chance for a committed teacher to inspire and develop the musical abilities of students.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will be tasked with providing engaging and thorough music education to learners across Key Stages 3 and 4. This includes designing and implementing captivating lessons, nurturing a passion for music through various genres and activities, and preparing students for assessments and performances. The ideal applicant will exhibit a strong dedication to educational excellence, creativity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver inspiring and tailored music lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and enjoyment.
  • Evaluate student progress and offer constructive feedback to encourage individual development.
  • Contribute actively to the growth and improvement of the school's music program.
  • Engage in extracurricular music initiatives, including ensembles, choirs, and performances.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Music or a related discipline.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching music at the secondary education level.
  • A successful history of academic achievement and student involvement.
  • Competence in a range of musical instruments and styles.
