Ambulance Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Local Ambulance Lead to join our team at SJA's West. As a key member of our Ambulance Operations team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our volunteer ambulance crews in the West Devon district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the District Manager with specialist expertise and work alongside the District Community Operations & Event Operations Teams to plan and deliver ambulance aspects of St John's operational output.
- Lead a team of Local Ambulance Leads who will mentor, support, and guide all our ambulance crews while they provide exceptional care.
- Facilitate a network of development opportunities for our crews to develop in their role.
- Collaborate with other leaders in Ambulance Operations & the wider Operations Directorate, as well as key supporting departments like the Regional Clinical Education Team, Logistics, Fleet and Assurance functions.
- Support Local Ambulance Leads, Ambulance Hubs Leads, and Ambulance Crews to exceed the standards required by the Care Quality Commission (and other regulatory bodies).
Requirements:
- Strong and credible ambulance background (SJA EAC, NHS EMT/AAP, or an appropriate healthcare professional).
- Compassionate leadership skills with the ability to influence and champion the team to support and excel in our future growth and development.
- Ability to deliver the best experience to our ambulance volunteers, empowering them to achieve their potential and serve their communities.
- Commitment to the concept of professional ambulance volunteering.
