Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements, including the development of working paper schedules for Manager review, followed by final adjustments prior to sign-off (predominantly for limited companies).
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns in alignment with the aforementioned tasks.
  • Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for a diverse clientele.
  • Engagement in various ad hoc tasks as required, which may include completing HMRC forms for international tours, reconciling figures against tour budgets, or calculating commissions for Managers.
  • Utilization of bank statements to record additional transactions, leading to the reconciliation of bank accounts within the accounting software.
  • Handling foreign currency transactions, potentially involving multiple bank accounts for reconciliation.
  • Assisting in the training and development of junior staff members.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Iris, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks) and a strong command of spreadsheets/Excel.
  • 25 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays.
