The company is seeking a highly skilled Group Accountant to join their finance team in Sheffield.

This is a permanent, full-time office-based role, offering free on-site parking.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with experience in industry or accountancy practice, or a combination of both.

Training and support from the line manager will be provided to ensure the candidate's success in the role.

The key responsibilities of the Group Accountant will include:

  • Preparing management accounts for the Head Office companies
  • Developing and maintaining a Group summary reporting pack, working closely with site Accountants to improve reporting
  • Compiling and reviewing tax analysis, and preparing Head Office analysis on a quarterly basis
  • Coordinating R&D tax claims, gathering site information for submissions, and liaising with external advisors
  • Managing corporation tax, including data collection for calculations and quarterly payment on account
  • Collaborating with the Group's Auditors on Head Office companies
  • Preparing consolidated Statutory Group Accounts and those of the subsidiaries
  • Processing and approving ad-hoc payments through the online banking system
  • Contributing to the streamlining of processes in the Head Office accounts function
  • Managing credit insurance, including annual renewal and forecasts
  • Monitoring foreign exchange requirements

The role is a full-time Monday to Friday position.

The salary range is approximately £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, plus company benefits.
