Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the management of the group accounting center, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial accounts and closing in SAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and review financial accounts and closing in SAP, ensuring compliance with IFRS or US GAAP standards.
  2. Coordinate with the local Managing Director and team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  3. Work closely with the Accounting Services team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports.
  4. Prepare and review group financial reporting package in IDL, including relevant notes and footnotes.
  5. Ensure accurate and timely lease accounting in accordance with IFRS16.
  6. Review and ensure compliance with the group accounting manual, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all legal entities.
  7. Act as a liaison with local and group auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.
  8. Prepare and review analysis and reviews for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  9. Support and act as backup for the Sr. Manager Group Reporting & Consolidation in preparing the entire consolidated group financials package.
About You:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in applying different accounting standards.
  2. ACCA/CIMA qualified, with a strong understanding of international accounting principles.
  3. International accounting experience and group level consolidation, with a strong affinity for digitalization and lean administration.
  4. SAP experience, with a strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  7. Reliable, structured, and efficient, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
