About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Qualified Teacher of the Deaf to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to deaf pupils and promoting inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of deaf students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying levels of hearing impairment
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in teaching deaf students and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to deaf education

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher of the Deaf status
  • Minimum Level 1 BSL certification
  • Strong understanding of the impact of hearing impairment on learning and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to collaborative working and inclusive education
