About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Education Training Coordinator to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing Medical Education Training Programmes for all Consultants, Staff Grades, associate specialists, Junior Doctors, GPs, and Medical Students throughout NHS Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Medical Education Training Programmes, ensuring maximum marketing and advertising.
- Plan and implement training sessions, workshops, and conferences for medical professionals.
- Develop and maintain databases and records of training programmes and participants.
- Provide administrative support to the Medical Education team, including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of training programmes.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Senior Administration, Business, and Training procedures acquired through training to HND Level.
- Advanced keyboard skills and qualifications in-depth working knowledge of complex IT packages, including Microsoft Publisher, Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Access, PowerPoint, electronic Diaries/Calendars, and statistical data analysis.
- Ability to work autonomously, managing and prioritizing own workload within the agreed overall target schedule.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and motivational skills, with the ability to deal with and diffuse difficult situations/interactions.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience with databases.
- Previous experience of NHS.
- Experience of a similar role within training.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize workload within agreed targets.
Contract Type
This is a fixed-term post for 1 year. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in the Medical Education Dept. within University Hospital Wishaw.
