Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Operations: Manage the accounting operations of the organization, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 5 accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Month-End Close: Drive a timely and accurate month-end close, ensuring all financial reporting is completed on schedule.
  • Accounting Standards: Ensure all financial reporting is in line with accounting standards, including US GAAP.
  • Reconciliations: Review all account reconciliations monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Audits: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting: Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasting and planning.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Accounting Standards: Competent with accounting standards, with US GAAP an advantage.
  • International Experience: Experienced in managing both UK and international entities.
  • Team Management: Experienced in managing a small team.
  • Consolidated Accounts: Experienced with consolidated accounts.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: Circa £60,000 - £70,000.
  • Handover Period: Significant handover period to ensure a smooth transition.
