We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intervention Officer to join our team at Hestia Charity. As an Intervention Officer, you will play a crucial role in our Male Approved Premises, working closely with Probation Officers and other community services to provide a stepping stone from prison into the community.
Key Responsibilities- Model pro-social behaviour and attitudes, creating a positive culture of respect in the service.
- Act as keyworker for a small number of residents, coordinating their stay and providing flexible support.
- Provide intensive casework, support, and monitoring of residents' needs.
- Contribute to the delivery of sentence plans with colleagues in probation and external agencies.
- Provide administrative support and participate in purposeful activities.
- Ensure the health, safety, and security of the Approved Premises and its occupants.
- Work towards an Enabling Environment accreditation.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues and ability to address them.
- Experience in delivering direct keywork and supporting those with a history of offending behaviour.
- Understanding of the antecedents to and consequences of offending behaviour.
- Able to empower residents to make choices and take control of their offending behaviours.
- Effective communication and engagement skills.
- Ability to maintain firm boundaries and work pro-socially with people.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and make defensible decisions.
