Early Intervention Specialist for Young Children

About this role

To provide a welcoming and safe environment for young children and their families in the Family Hubs.

Develop and deliver high-quality early intervention services for children aged birth to 5 years, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, to improve outcomes and reduce the need for targeted interventions.

Work in partnership with parents/carers and professionals to promote wellbeing and support children's development.

Key requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in child development or equivalent
  • Accreditation in 'Peeple' and 'Solihull' programmes within the first three months
  • Understanding of poverty, cultural difference, and isolation's impact on family engagement
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and services to promote the project and meet children's needs
  • Experience in delivering early intervention projects with vulnerable communities
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage principles and their implementation
  • Cultural competency and ability to engage with families equally
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and LiquidLogic
  • Clear knowledge of GDPR and data sharing
  • Ability to travel across Barking and Dagenham and work face-to-face

A team player who can work with professionals across the system.
