Job Title: Android Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled Android Software Developer to join our team at Leap29. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality Android applications, integrating them with existing APIs, and ensuring seamless interactions with external peripherals.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong knowledge of Android Java or Kotlin, as well as experience with embedded systems. You should also be familiar with the software development life cycle and have a proven track record of delivering projects on time.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop Android applications for embedded media players, integrating with existing content management systems and interfacing with external peripherals.
  2. Modify Android software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
  3. Direct system testing and validation procedures to ensure high-quality software releases.
  4. Collaborate with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
  5. Analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  2. Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  3. Proven experience working with Android Java or Kotlin with embedded systems.
  4. Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  5. Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
  6. Creativity and independent thinking are highly valued.
