About the Role

The Estates Officer role is a development opportunity within the specialist engineering team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This position involves undertaking various training courses, such as shadowing, project work, and secondments, to support the delivery of specialist engineering activities across all wards and departments in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Specialists Engineers in ensuring compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Participate in specialist engineering training and mentoring.
  • Assist in the development of technicians and apprentices.
Main Duties
  • Support in managing specialist engineering service contracts.
  • Act as a lead in designated service areas.
  • Undertake maintenance programs for specialist engineering.
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call responsibilities.

  • Training & Qualifications
    • Qualified to Degree Level in Engineering/Building Services or equivalent.
    • Experience in operational maintenance within relevant disciplines.
    • Membership of Professional Institutions.
