About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring that customers receive excellent service, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience.
  • Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring that the store is well-stocked and that stockroom procedures are followed.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss sales performance, customer feedback, and operational issues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve store operations, customer service, and colleague engagement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail or customer-facing role, with a strong track record of customer service and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, cash handling, and customer service procedures.
