About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Mary's Hospital as a Lead Occupational Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a specialized service for people with Acquired Brain Injuries, progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions, and Deaf Mental Health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload using evidence-based and people-focused principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group interventions.
  • Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway.
  • Ensure the team maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation/progress.
  • Support clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs.
  • Develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies under the strategic direction of the Therapy Lead and other members of the Senior Management Team.
Requirements
  • Qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist.
  • At least 3 years post-qualifying experience.
  • Experience in assessing people with various psychometrics and risk assessment tools.
  • Ability to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage complex needs.
  • Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team.
  • A full and clean UK driving license.
