About the Role
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a senior position within our team. As a Lead Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and leading a team of occupational therapists to deliver high-quality care to our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring effective communication and application by the occupational therapists.
- Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway.
- Ensure the team maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation and progress.
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
- Support clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs.
- Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs before planning and delivering relevant interventions.
- Work to develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies under the strategic direction of the Therapy Lead and other members of the Senior Management Team.
Requirements
- Qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- At least 3 years post-qualifying experience.
- Experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometrics and risk assessment tools.
- Ability to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage complex needs.
- Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team.
- A full and clean UK driving license.
