Lead Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Lead Occupational Therapist in our specialist service for individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and Deaf Mental Health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Manage a complex caseload, supervising and coordinating the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services.
- Team Collaboration: Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team, encouraging service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway.
- Service Development: Work with the Therapy Lead to develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies.
- Staff Supervision: Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Referral and Assessment: Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs.
- Qualifications: Qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience: At least 3 years post-qualifying experience, with experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometrics and risk assessment tools.
- Skills: Ability to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage their complex needs.
- Leadership: Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team.
