Position Overview:
Are you a skilled healthcare professional eager to apply your clinical expertise in a different capacity? In the role of Disability Assessor, you will be tasked with evaluating individuals who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment benefit. This position demands a high level of independence and the capability to produce detailed reports based on your assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your clinical background to assess how various health conditions affect everyday activities
- Perform thorough assessments in a respectful manner, whether in person, via telephone, or through video conferencing
- Analyze medical documentation to aid the DWP in their decision-making process
- Must be a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, or Occupational Therapist
- Current NMC/HCPC registration is required
- A minimum of one year of post-registration experience within the UK healthcare system
- Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in IT
