Catering Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our kitchen team as a Catering Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist catering staff with meal preparation and cooking in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Serve food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Ensure all areas, equipment, and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Collaborate with the wider team, including dietitians, to ensure dietary and planned meals meet the needs of our service users.
Requirements
- Relevant catering qualification (desirable).
- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP procedures.
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
