{"Job Title": "Transport Planner", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Forward Waste Management Ltd. As a key member of our Transport Team, you will play a crucial role in the safe, efficient, and proactive management of our HGV fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and route HGV vehicles to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability, in line with internal KPIs and Service Level Agreements
* Ensure all movements are planned and any issues are communicated to the wider team
* Source backloads to support the efficiency of the Transport team
* Compile driver timesheets and support the Transport Team in the recording and analysis of data
* Ensure Health & Safety procedures and agreed working practices are followed at all times
* Review and submit tachograph data
* Support the Transport Team in ensuring that vehicles are compliant with all relevant legislation
* Support the Transport Team in ensuring all vehicles are fully maintained by managing planned maintenance and servicing schedules

Requirements:

* Experience of route planning for drivers, choosing the most efficient and cost-effective routes
* Proven IT skills in the use of Outlook, and the internet with data entry to inhouse databases (Weighsoft)
* Excellent working knowledge of health & safety requirements relating to the safe and efficient running of a HGV fleet
* Class 1 and/or Class 2 HGV licences would be advantageous
* Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) or willing to work towards it
