About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Physicist to join our Science and Technology team at Rapiscan Systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward our Research and Development Roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of system-level data capture, analysis, and performance tracking for High-Energy X-ray sources and detector assemblies.
  • Collaborate with physicists, software, and electronics engineers to experimentally evaluate innovative designs and concepts.
  • Optimize system performance and reduce dose footprint through targeted solutions.
  • Monitor and disseminate relevant standards for X-ray performance and dose exposure.
  • Develop analytical models to predict detector response and replicate X-ray spectral compositions.
  • Work closely with the software team to develop image enhancement tools and filters.
  • Support programs and projects to deliver fully compliant X-ray imaging systems.
  • Design X-ray based imaging systems for cargo and vehicle inspection.
Requirements
  • Graduate/Postgraduate experience in radiation physics with experimental background.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Matlab for data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced product development environment.
  • Willingness to support offsite programs of work and adapt to changing priorities.
