Neurology Specialist Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated nurse to join our team as a Specialist Epilepsy Nurse. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced, patient-centred care to individuals living with epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Expert Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans for patients with epilepsy, including seizure recognition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Educate and Train: Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals on epilepsy management, including seizure recognition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinate care effectively.
- Contribute to Clinical Protocols: Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Leadership and Support: Provide leadership and support to junior staff and participate in service development projects.
- Registered Nurse (RN): Current NMC registration and a degree in Nursing or a relevant healthcare field.
- Post-Graduate Qualification: Post-graduate qualification in epilepsy or neurology nursing is highly desirable.
- Experience: Recent or present working experience of caring for those with epilepsy and other related neurological conditions.
- Travel: Ability to travel efficiently throughout the area.
