About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team at the Mercure Nottingham Sherwood Hotel. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage the front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and room assignments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process guest payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a high level of cash handling security.
- Assist with room assignments, key card programming, and other related tasks.
- Collaborate with the Front Office Manager and other team members to ensure seamless communication and a high level of service.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge of hotel operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Front Office or Reception role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in hotel property management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
